Our goal for this year is for every middle school student to read 1 million words of text. By competing both individually and by class, each student will have the goal of reading 25 self selected books.

Throughout the year, we will be celebrating reading with activities and events.
We will be awarding prizes to our star readers, those students who have already achieved the goal of 25 books.

Students who have achieved benchmark goals will be recognized throughout the year.

At the end of the year every student who has reached the 25 book goal will be entered into a grand drawing for a amazing prizes.

This is the 5th year of our challenge. Last year 153 students at our school logged 25 or more books. Our students read over 12,000 titles.

If you are pacing your reading, you need to read about six books per marking period plus one additional book to add up to 25 books. Books need to be read by the last day of the contest on May 29th.

Check DESTINY'S RESOURCE LIST for book lists on different genres.
